Terms of Service

Last Updated: February 21, 2026

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY. THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU ("USER," "SUBSCRIBER," OR "YOU") AND RELATIVE INFORMATION ("RELATIVE INFORMATION," "WE," "US," OR "OUR"). BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT, PURCHASING A PRODUCT, OR USING ANY PART OF THE RELATIVE INFORMATION PLATFORM, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, do not create an account or use the Relative Information platform. If you are using the platform on behalf of another individual (such as a minor or a person under your care), you represent that you have the legal authority to accept these terms on their behalf.

1. Overview of Service

Relative Information provides an emergency contact identification system that links physical identification tags to secure digital profiles containing emergency contact information and, optionally, medical information. Each tag displays a dedicated call-in phone number and a unique tag ID. The Relative Information platform includes the Relative Information website, user dashboard, automated call routing system, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").

The purpose of Relative Information is to enable first responders, medical personnel, and bystanders to quickly reach a user's emergency contacts in the event of an emergency by calling the number on the user's physical tag and entering the tag ID. The automated system then routes calls to the user's emergency contacts in priority order. Relative Information is designed to supplement — not replace — emergency medical services.

2. Not a Substitute for Emergency Services

RELATIVE INFORMATION IS NOT AN EMERGENCY SERVICE AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR CALLING 911 OR YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY NUMBER. IN ANY LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION, ALWAYS CALL EMERGENCY SERVICES FIRST.

Relative Information does not dispatch emergency responders, provide medical advice, or monitor your health or location. The Platform is a communication tool that connects callers to your designated emergency contacts via an automated phone system. Relative Information does not guarantee that any emergency contact will be reached, will answer, or will take any particular action. Response times and outcomes depend entirely on factors outside of Relative Information's control.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create a Relative Information account. If you are creating an account on behalf of a minor or a person under your legal care, you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to do so and that you accept these Terms on their behalf. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Account Registration and Security

To use the Platform, you must create an account through our authentication provider. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to notify Relative Information immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. Relative Information will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

5. User Responsibilities

As a Relative Information user, you are responsible for the following:

  • Accuracy of Information: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and currency of all information you enter into the Platform, including emergency contact details, medical information, and personal profile data. Inaccurate or outdated information may compromise the effectiveness of the service in an emergency.
  • Consent of Emergency Contacts: You represent and warrant that you have obtained the consent of each individual you list as an emergency contact before adding their personal information (name, phone number, email address) to the Platform.
  • Medical Information: Any medical information you provide (including blood type, allergies, medications, and medical conditions) is entered at your sole discretion. You understand that this information may be accessible through your emergency profile. Relative Information does not verify the accuracy of medical information and is not responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate or incomplete medical data.
  • Physical Tag Security: You are responsible for the physical security of your tag. Anyone who has physical access to your tag can read the call-in number and tag ID, and use them to initiate the emergency contact sequence. Relative Information is not responsible for unauthorized use of your tag.
  • Keeping Information Current: You agree to promptly update your emergency contacts, medical information, and profile details whenever changes occur.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

Relative Information offers multiple subscription tiers, including a free tier with limited features and paid tiers with expanded capabilities. The features, limitations, and pricing of each tier are described on the Platform's pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at the time of purchase). By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize Relative Information to charge your designated payment method on each billing cycle. All fees are quoted in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods. Upon cancellation of a paid subscription, your account will revert to the free tier, and features exceeding the free tier's limits may become inaccessible.

Relative Information reserves the right to change subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase. Your continued use of a paid subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. Call-In Phone System and Tag ID

Each Relative Information tag displays a dedicated call-in phone number and a unique tag ID. The tag itself does not store personal data — it serves as a physical reference that enables anyone to initiate the automated emergency contact sequence by calling the number and entering the ID.

Because the call-in number and tag ID are printed on the physical tag, you acknowledge and accept that any person with physical access to your tag may use these to initiate the emergency contact sequence. Relative Information uses industry-standard security measures to protect your data on our servers but cannot control who reads or uses the information printed on your physical tag.

Relative Information is not responsible for any unauthorized use of your emergency contact system resulting from someone reading and using the call-in number and tag ID on your physical tag. You accept this inherent characteristic of a physical identification system as a necessary trade-off for the emergency accessibility that the service provides.

8. Public Emergency Profile

Your public emergency profile is accessible through the call-in system to anyone who calls the number on your tag and enters your tag ID. The information used by the automated system includes your emergency contact phone numbers in priority order. Your first name and any medical information you have chosen to provide may also be accessible through your profile.

By using Relative Information, you expressly consent to making this information publicly accessible through your tag. You may control what information appears on your profile by managing your settings in the dashboard. You may deactivate a tag at any time to prevent access to your profile through that tag.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Relative Information Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and the overall design and arrangement thereof — are the exclusive property of Relative Information or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Platform, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of any software used in the Platform.

  • Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the Platform.
  • Using the Platform for any commercial purpose not expressly authorized by Relative Information.
  • Listing emergency contacts without their knowledge or consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RELATIVE INFORMATION AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Platform or any physical tag.
  • Any failure of emergency contacts to respond or take action.
  • Any delay in emergency response or medical treatment.
  • Any unauthorized use of your emergency contact system through your physical tag.
  • Any inaccuracy in information you have provided to the Platform.
  • Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Platform.
  • Any actions or omissions of third parties, including emergency contacts, first responders, or medical personnel.

In no event shall Relative Information's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform exceed the amount you have paid to Relative Information in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, the limitations above shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Relative Information does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that the Platform or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components. Relative Information does not warrant or make any representations regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information provided through the Platform.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Relative Information and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of another party, including any emergency contact; or (d) any information you provide through the Platform.

14. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting Relative Information support or through your account settings. Upon termination, your public emergency profile will be deactivated, and your tags will no longer link to an active profile.

Relative Information reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including but not limited to cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms. Upon termination by Relative Information, you will not be entitled to any refund of fees paid.

Following termination, Relative Information will retain your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. You may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.

The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language in the State of California, United States. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

CLASS ACTION WAIVER: YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. To the extent that arbitration is not applicable, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

17. Changes to These Terms

Relative Information reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email or through the Platform's notification system. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Relative Information regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
